Urbaan Threads started in 2021 with sixty tees printed in a friend’s garage on CG Road. We still print within four kilometres of that garage. Every run is between eighty and two hundred pieces, cotton is sourced from a mill in Rajkot that we have visited, and the printing is water-based pigment rather than plastisol — it costs more and it wears better. Two designers, one press operator and a tailor who has been stitching for thirty years. That is the whole company.
